Exposed to the experience of music of all sorts at a very early age in my home environment, I felt the drive to entertain throughout my childhood. Sometimes it may have gotten me into a bit of trouble, I suppose. Poetry writing and my introduction to the guitar and drums in early high school set me on the adventure of song writing and entertaining by Junior year.
As it goes for most creative artists, life experiences and observations have provided muse for my song writing. Forestry, farm and ranch work, military service, life’s ups, downs, ins and outs all put their mark on my songs. Performing is a natural extension of that creative drive and, although I don’t entertain out much anymore, I continue exercising the craft of writing songs and recording as I go along. Song writing is fun and entertaining in itself!
I tend to play and write mainly on acoustic guitar. I love the grain, color, tonal quality, smell and feel of acoustic guitars. Acoustic guitar has a natural harmonizing effect to the human voice. I play on electric guitar as well and appreciate the playability and audio qualities that are unique to them also. On the other hand I love drums, piano, harmonica -
